Xbox One

Post by Defac » Sat Nov 23, 2013 3:27 pm

Love it. Love the PS4 too. But XB1 is great.

Got free games for being in the games industry. Ryse, Forza, and Dead Rising 3 are all very fun.

Coolest part of your video is your video. They built in fraps recording? didn't realize that.... Very cool.

I think i'd get an XBOX1 over the PS4 still, mostly due to my confidence in Microsoft to pay for more exclusives.

Titanfall could sell me on picking up a xbone, especially if they have a bundle when it comes out. So far I've enjoyed my PS4 quite a bit, but ultimately it's going to come down to the games and I've enjoyed BF4 / AC4 the most at launch which are not even exclusives. I do want to give Sony props for their console design though, man that thing looks good.

Yeah, but I do really love playing games on my 60" Samsung TV.

Ryse is very pretty. The gameplay is based on "cool" moments of 300-esque choreographed scenes. I'm having fun witnessing the visual fidelity such as the video I linked above. It's not the best game so I would honestly wait till a price drop to try it out. Ryse isn't a QTE fest though. The executions are actually quite fun.

The best game (imo) is Dead Rising 3. The sandbox gameplay is so good. Love collecting new ways to kill zombies.

Forza:
So, I'm on the phone with my g/f trying to figure out who's family we'll be at tomorrow and I'm clicking posts that have a new comment since I last visited without even paying attention to what the thread is about (I don't multitask well).

Well, I scroll to the bottom of this thread and almost shit myself b/c I'm all like "NO fkn way! Someone painted their car a Zelda theme!" Then I see the text above the pic says Forza and realize it's a game.

It's about that time where games are almost indistinguishable from real life. I am a little sad it's not a real car though. :(

Haha yeah. Graphics have gotten to the point where I watch someone play Forza on the 50" tv in first person cockpit mode and during sudden brakes to avoid collisions, I hold my breathe. It's crazy.

What I would love to see in the future is 4k resolution Oculus VR.

LOVE Dead Rising 3

Awesome weapon made out of road pylon + speaker boxes. Reminded me of the Simpsons episode when Bart went to the police station: http://sdrv.ms/1gnI7SV

Hilarious (minor side mission spoiler) fight versus a side mission boss with my posse of 3 survivors which I equipped with random items from the rooms I found them: http://sdrv.ms/18aE9Ib
