Is ATI worth buying? Was eyeing a gtx 760, would an ati card of equivalent cost be better these days?

Thanks.

EVGA still on top? The MSI Twin Frozr looks interesting, not sure how they stack up with reliability though.

Fun fact. AMD is claiming nVidia is providing drivers to developers so that developers can get better performance exclusively on nVidia cards. This is hardly the truth. In fact, much of ATi's "bad driver" reputation comes from back in the 90s where ATi was performing very specific rendering tweaks for specific games but applying them to their general drivers. While some of those tweaks worked on some games, often times people would see artifacts or problems with other games. This was a result of Ati's "optimization" and what led nVidia to coin the term: "the way it's meant to be played."

Anyhow, I would stick with eVGA if you can.

i have the r9 290 and its the best video card purchase i've ever made. I've been with nvidia since ALWAYS but the reviews for this card we too good so I bit. Well worth it performance wise. Is it true however that software/driver support is not on par with NVidia.
