Re: 10 years

I still play off and on across most of my toons and happily bear the <Shining Force> moniker on most of them. Definitely miss the good old days, but the game has definitely moved on from the vanilla heyday. I'm *somewhat* looking forward to Legion, will be interesting to see how all the changes play...

Re: Started playing HOTS ( loving it)

I've been playing HOTS a fair amount as well...although I'm actually doing a bit *more* DOTA 2 right now than normal because of the International (which gets me hooked again every year). That said, happy to group up and play either if we're ever on at the same time. Having 2 kids myself...I get it. ;)

LOL - I got into the line in a near-infinite loop for a while (moved pretty quickly)...but I don't think I managed to get in 40 matches. That's hardcore. :)

Re: Overwatch

I'm 100% sure I'll get/play this game, however it's released. I agree with Disc et al that my bet would be F2P with the ability to buy access to characters outside of a free rotation (similar to Heroes), but who knows. It's really in Blizz's mind as to how they think they can get as many people to p...

Re: Overwatch

It was definitely a lot of fun to play (over and over again). Very much like TF2 in some ways, but the characters did feel pretty differentiated already and the few maps/gameplay modes they had were all a) gorgeous and b) pretty fun. Felt to me like there were some minor balance issues in some of th...

Re: Heroes of the Storm

I finally got random access last night - just showed up in my launcher as installable. Random BlizzCon perk? Who knows...

Either way, nice to get to play it again, looking forward to seeing the state vs. BlizzCon last year.

Re: Best of E3?

The Witcher was really mostly just there in movie/theater mode - although it looks fabulous, it's hard to say how far along it is and if it's still on target for release this year. ...need to finish the first 2 games first. : / The Division looked very cool, both at E3 and the off-site Ubisoft event...

Re: Wod?

A fair number of people are slowly trickling back here and there. Mostly casual play at this point as everyone waits for WoD to drop, but there are decent groups of S*F people on, especially at prime times. Speaking as someone who left the game for nearly 3 years and came back a couple months ago - ...

Yeah...so very jelly. Wanted into the beta ever since playing at BlizzCon and still no love from the Blizzard beta gods. : / Oh well...I'm sure it'll happen sooner or later.

Re: Duelyst

Sprite/Art style looks almost 100% like Hyper Light Drifter, which I totally kickstarted because I loved the concept - but that was more of a Zelda-meets-Vampire Hunter D adventure game, though. I love their style...but not sure I could get into the gameplay.

Should have made a MOBA. :D

Re: Titanfall

I'm definitely a fan so far. Kind of Call of Duty-ish meets BF2142 for sure, but it's FPS with giant robots and the action is generally pretty fast and fun. Map design seems pretty well-done and varied and the 'light' story elements are decent. Would still have *liked* a full-blown campaign...but th...

Re: Titanfall

I had fun with it the limited amount of time I played the beta as well. I'm 'meh' on it being on Origin...I don't hate it as much as everyone else seems to, but would definitely be a fan of EA just giving up and putting stuff on Steam like everyone else. Doesn't bother me, though. If it's a good gam...

I'll be kicking it at the Hilton with some other friends, hopefully we can get the SF people that are in town together for at least some drinks. (Heck...I'm drinking already). ;)

Re: Battlefield 4

Maybe it varies somewhat by luck of the draw or the servers you happen to play on, but I at least don't seem to see nearly as many questionable players this early in the game and PBBans seems to kick in the minute questionable accounts hit the server. Also - last night I was playing and in the same ...

Re: Battlefield 4

Yeah - been having fun with this as well. Definitely a much smoother launch than BF3 - far less hacking/aimbotting/etc. and the weapon balance and issues they had with clearly OP/broken weapons at the BF3 launch don't seem nearly as bad. Probably still some things that may need to be tweaked long-te...

Nice.

I've definitely had sh*t for luck in all the godfests and with any dungeon runs. RNG is not my friend in this game for sure.
