Just a warning to people interested, the game has built in online only DRM similar to Diablo 3.

I don't care about online DRM so much but I really don't like Origin/EA and have so far avoided having to use them. I don't like the idea of having to have two "Steam" services on my PC. I don't want Origin. I like Steam. Release your game on steam or don't get my cash. *pouts*

Origin has been fantastic for me. /shrug

I think some games that have integrated Origin completely (like Dead Space 3 PC) has been really good. The online coop has been super smooth. Even the invite and join a game process feels better than Steam's 1st party (CS:GO, L4D, etc.) titles.

It's not about the games themselves or the implementation. I just don't want two services :/

I loved one of the reviews where the guy was relying on his neighbor for power. He was buying electric power from his neighbor but then godzilla came and attacked the neighbor so the reviewer lost power in his city and got owned. Awesome.

That sounds cool until, but what if your neighbor just decides not to log on ever again? Do they rematch you with neighbors who maintain some level of play?

Brought to you by the letter 'no crap'. Not going to buy this even if it's eventually non-Origin.

So I bought it... kinda excited. I loved all the Simcity soundtracks (its biggest draw IMO) and the game play is unique and fun. Fuck the DRM and the only online bullshit. Can't log in... MY CITIZENS NEED ME!

So I am stuck in the fucking tutorial. The popups that are supposed to happen to display different controls aren't there. I'm stuck waiting... wtf.

Edit - Managed to get in to the tutorial but I didn't make it all the way through before being disconnected. /shrug - small victories...

Is this really the max size that you can build (without connecting another plot this size to it)?

That I know of no, considering you can control an entire region (multiple cities) at once you can make it much bigger.

Not multiple cities, I mean one contiguous city area. Is this the max?
