Not sure how many people are still reading the forums, but figured I would ask a question here and see if I can get any opinion.
I have a desktop computer which was recently built that I'm planning on having physically in the basement approximately 30 feet away. The monitor along with all peripherals are located in another room. I am trying to figure out how to run the peripherals.
I have a optical HDMI run the monitor and I also purchased a thunderbolt optical 25m cable as a potential to run the peripherals. I'm having difficulty finding a USB hub that the Thunderbolt can plug into that is self-powered to run all the local peripherals. The optical Thunderbolt does not supply any power . Any suggestions?
My monitor does come with a USB peripheral hub however the Upstream power is provided by a USB a cable which obviously will not work 30 feet away. Is there another solution that I can power the USB monitor Hub somehow and use the optical Thunderbolt cable to transfer the data?

Re: USB peripheral Question
Is there a reason you need an optical Thunderbolt? I know there are many docks that can be powered by regular USB-C cables.
